In the United States, the first amendment of the constitution allows for freedom of expression. And while that doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want without consequence in every situation, it does allow you to publish “an oppinion site” online without fear of legal action for the content within.
One such person, fed up with several aspects of 3CX, did exactly that. Their website, www.fuck3cx.com, was created to document their personal journey with 3CX. As expected, this website struck a nerve with 3CX and they decided to take action in the form of a domain takedown.
The author the site recently posted that
ICANN TAKEDOWN ATTEMPT IN PROGRESS.
3CX has made no contact with the site’s staff. They have made no attempt to resolve concerns and simply filed a takedown request.
While 3CX’s actions should not actually result in the domain being seized, you never know what the final result will be. Regardless, these actions are just reinforcement of the 3CX moderation system in action that we previously wrote about.
Should the domain be seized, a backup of the site exists in the Wayback Machine.
